Using This Teacher’s Guide

The goal of this Teacher’s Guide is to demonstrate ways the Readingpen can be used to enhance and expand activities that are already part of your curriculum.

This guide provides only a small sample of the activities teachers across the country have used with their students. They are provided to inspire you and to spark your imagination as you think of ways you might integrate this small but powerful tool into the literacy development of your students.

The activities are organized sequentially, from emergent literacy activities to middle school activities, including language arts, social studies and science lessons as well as activities for ELL and LEP students.
